Laurens County 4-H was well represented at the South Carolina State Fair. We had members compete in the Dairy, Beef, Meat Goat, Swine, Poultry and Rabbit Livestock Shows. We also had a team compete in the South Carolina 4-H Healthy Lifestyles Challenge. The Laurens County Super Cookers placed 5th in the Junior division and were the first team that Laurens County 4-H has had compete in the competition. These 4-Hers put in many hours of hard work preparing these animals for their show. Showmanship is judged on how well the exhibitors shows the animal and their knowledge when answering questions asked by the judge. Market classes are judged on the confirmation of the animal compared to the breed standard. Below are the results of Laurens County 4-Hers placings in the various Livestock Shows:
